Of all the ‘Devtas’ residing in Kinnaur, lord Narayana of Kalpa (an avatar of Vishnu) set in solid gold and silver is perhaps the most revered. Kept in a safe-house secured by iron chains and traditional padlocks, it’s only during special occasions the lord is taken out to meet with the lesser mortals.
